The Empty Vessel International  Theater Ensemble (EVITE) is currenty evolving into a multi-ethnic, ensemble based theater performance group dedicated to the presentation of high impact productions focusing on real life issues. Performances will range from street presentations to stage productions of original works. The group will center around community-based projects and venues having a  Pay-What-You-Can admission and many performances with general admission.





Our goal is to raise the funds to purchase or otherwise lease the property at 292 Moreland Avenue, Atlanta GA 30307.

Measuring +/- 18,000f2, this fine example of Victorian and Beaux-Arts styles boasts 28,767f2 of land. In the heart of Little Five Points, Atlanta’s thriving commercial district. It’s a business community, a neighborhood, and inarguably the coolest spot on the map between Greenwich Village and the French Quarter. Within walking distance is beautiful Inman Park (Atlanta’s oldest historic neighborhood), Freedom Parkway, Candler Park and the new Edgewood Retail District. (MAP)

The Director

Gerry Has been involved in the theater his entire life and has an eye for street theater. From his youth at the Dekalb County School of the Arts on to many directors roles in the local community.

Gerry has responsibility for the overall practical and creative interpretation of all dramatic scripts or musical scores, taking into account the budgetary and physical constraints of all production. He works closely with the creative and production teams, the performers and the producer to create a performance which connects with the audience.  

We are currently accepting original submissions. 

- The choice of subject and style is up to you. 

- Submit 3 copies of your play. Keep the original. Scripts will not be returned. 

- Scripts must be in Standard American Format.

- Scripts must be typed, page-numbered, and stapled with just one staple in the upper left side or they  will not be read. 

- Musicals, and screenplays are not currently being accepted, nor are adaptations of other authors' works.
