As you know Artists development has all but disappeared from the major label’s priority list. Replaced many times with the term “product development” labels go straight for the monetary jugular. How much and how fast is the motto and artists are just a commodity item both disposable and consumable. EV still subscribes to the development, nurturing, and support of the few artists we add to the label. Along with the personal development of the artists we continue the fine-tuning of the product they release. Both are important elements to the success of the artists and the message of the music.
That being said, since we are so Pro-Artists, creative control remains 100% in the hands of the Artists we sign. Artist’s development takes a team approach. It is a delicate mixture of the creative elements (artists) and the business and administrative properties (EV). |
 
Promotion of the artists is the act of trying to draw public attention to your music and your purpose. Basically radio promotion and media play of the material is the most common attempt.

Once we begin to draw a greater public awareness, we begin to expand expand the publicity. This is where your purpose will draw the greatest attention.
