Our involvement in the urban areas of America involve funding, community change and people advocacy.  Empty Vessel serves those who have been marginalized by society and/or simply need temporary aid.  These comprehensive programs not only provide immediate help but also encourages people to regain their independence.

The streets of Urban America are the worlds third largest mission field and the needs are sometimes overwhelming. Continuing domestic support for these projects insure an ongoing strengthening of America's core.

As an example, Atlanta's Old Forth Ward is a historically African American neighborhood on the east side of Atlanta’s Downtown, the fourth ward is famous as the birth place of Dr. Martin Luther King as well as the location of Ebenezer Baptist Church and the Sweet Auburn District. Over the years drugs, vacant buildings, crime and other manifestations of urban decay have swept through the area and the 4th Ward became known as one of Atlanta's toughest neighborhoods.
 
The good news - because of urban initiatives,  there is a tramsformation taking place in this area.
